Class Management – Super Bee Tickets
I will go over the rules of the classroom with the students on the first day. We will start using our “bee-havior” chart at this time. The chart is a beehive divided into two sections. All the children’s names are placed in the bottom section of the hive at the start of the day. During the day, if they break a rule (after verbal warning), their name gets moved off the hive. When the child is following the rules, they can get their bee moved back on the hive. If a child is caught being extra good, only one following the rules while others are not, they can get their bee moved up the hive. At the end of the day, where ever their bee is on or off the hive, determines how many bee tickets they receive.
0 bee tickets = off the hive. Ask student about their day and review school rules.
1 bee ticket = Students had a great day!
The ticket will give you immediate feedback of how your student’s day went. When a student’s name is moved off the hive, I have them explain to me why and we talk about making different choices. They should be able to tell you why they did not get a bee ticket. I will also send home a yellow note indicating what behavior needs more practice. Please sign this form and return it the next school day. Also, let them know tomorrow will be another day to make better choices.
Collect the tickets in a baggie with their name on it. When your student has 10 bee tickets, they will be able to shop from the Treasure Box! Thank you for your support!
